Kevin graduated from JMU with a degree in chemistry.
For many years, Kevin worked as a chemist in the mass spec lab at VCU. This afforded him the opportunity to study and analyze a lot of interesting specimens including ancient artifacts, pig teeth, and even Naegleria fowleri, the brain eating amoeba.
Kevin changed directions ten years ago and is now a full-time home inspector. He serves as the current president of CV ASHI.
When he's not inspecting homes, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, managing the community garden at his church, and being outside.

Home inspectors see plenty of asphalt shingles. We deal with them every day. We recognize improper installations, aged related imminent failures, ventilation issues and more. We do, however, come across other types of roofing materials that have their own unique combinations of concerns. Alden will be diving deeply in these important topics with enough detail and specificity that everyone is certain to come away with a clearer understanding of these important topics.
Alden Echols is co-owner, President of operations and Master Roofer with Slope Pro Roofing in Richmond, Virginia.
